COMPANY
Located in Lucena in the Spanish province of Córdoba, Metales La Estrella follows in the footsteps of various cultures which formerly settled in the town, bequeathing us a legacy of customs and practices such as forging iron, bronze and other metals.
Around the year 1917 the present manager's grandfather, Rafael del Pino Gómez, laid the foundations of the company as it is today in a modest workshop specializing in the manufacture of typical local craftwork like copper oil lamps, candlesticks, mortars, pots and kettles.
In 1976 his son, Rafael del Pino Espino, launched single-handed what is today Metales La Estrella following the artisan tradition taught by his father, and in the 80s or thereabouts, after thorough market research, branched out into the manufacture of metal fittings. Two years later he made it his exclusive line of business, having by this time the support of his children and close associates.
